Growing up, Eric was always taking things apart, to see how they worked. He has always had a passion for building things on his own. Eric believes that seeing a home being built from start to finish is extraordinary, and he’s glad to be a part of that.

When Eric was looking at a possible career change, he simply Googled “custom home builders Black Hills South Dakota”. Roughlock was the first website that popped up.

Eric came from being a Law Enforcement Officer. Eric loves spending time with his wife and two wiener dogs, Franny and Freya, and a golden retriever, Amelia. Eric loves the outdoors, spending time with his dogs, and riding his motorcycle to an off the trail fishing spot in the Black Hills.
